As Ben Duncombe (Coral Cove) and Riko Danjo (Royal Pines) would attest to after taking out the Mt Coolum’s Junior Open with impressive………

The Invincibles Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to everyone at Mount Coolum.


Their fantastic team, that includes their Caterer’s, Bar & Office Staff, Ground Staff, and the team in the Pro Shop who had their course and facilities set up magnificently to host their Open, but most importantly, for the way they make everyone feel so welcome.


Congratulations to Mitchell Revie (Hills p-1 below) and Amy Hodgkins (Redcliffe p-2) who qualified for The Invincibles 2019 IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship that will be hosted by the very generous and supportive Twin Waters, Peregian Golf Course, Pelican Waters, and Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort during the last week of the September School holidays (29th of September to the 2nd


of October – 2019).


Ruby Kavanagh (Maroochy River – p3 below) won The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Course Cup with a nett score of 71, and by doing so, qualified for the Sunshine Coast Gold Cup of Cups Championship that will be hosted by Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort, Sunday November the 24th, followed immediately by The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner (all qualifiers are requested to make themselves available at the dinner).

It was a great sight to see Wilson Foster (Mount Coolum - p4 above) contesting his home club and final event as a junior (big 18 - becoming an old man).


The Invincibles 2019 Inter – Club Team Shield points for Round 8 are as follows: (Headland) first time ever, earned the four points for winning, with Noosa Golf Club earning two points for second, and Maroochy River Golf Club came in third to earn one point!!!


Young Phoenix Gaulke (Pine Rivers) was all smiles after taking out the Boys 9 Hole championship title with 44 from Sam Wilson (Maroochy River) on 46.


Ellianna MacRae (Maroochy River) won the girls 9-Hole division with 38 from Layla Barnett on 44.

Highlights included: Cassie Porter and Lachlan Coleborn coming to caddie for Zoe Maxwell and Wilson Foster, Ben Duncombe’s Eagle on 17 after sinking his six foot putt, Ruby Kavanagh’s 60m approach to 9 with her 50 degree wedge for birdie after bouncing twice before holing out, Kynan Allen’s great tee shot on 12 to within six foot to set up his birdie, Ben Duncombe’s putt from off the green on 12 for par, Wilson Foster and Braiden Taylor’s tee shots on 14, which were just a few of the many, many highlights during the eighteen hole championship.


Other highlights in the 9-hole section: saw Satara Wood’s brilliant eagle on 17, Ellianna MacRae’s birdies on 11 & 14, Rory Haberman producing his best ever score with 51, surpassing old score by six shots, Lilly Surasen and Ellianna MacRae’s approaches to 18, and Ashlee Barnett’s brilliant tee shot and bunker shot on 10, which were just a few of the many highlights during the 9 hole division.


The Tour would like to thank those that take the time to pass on highlights that happen during our junior events, we feel it adds to the day and it’s nice to acknowledge great performances.
