On what was another excellent day for golf “all be it a bit windy” where Justice Bosio (Caboolture) held her nerve to record rounds of 78-76=154 to extend her lead to five shots over a very impressive Isabelle Simpson (Indooroopilly) who carded rounds of 79-80=159 heading into the final round at Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort tomorrow. The boy’s division saw……..

Young Kyros Hayden (Caboolture) take the lead with reigning Champion, George Giblett (Noosa) in a c/b after both boys finished day 3 with rounds of 81-76=157 and 79-78=157 respectively, which promises to create a nail bitting finish to what has been a very challenging and at times, frustration test to everyone’s games, given the incredibly tough weather conditions.

There is one thing for sure, and that is that none of the above juniors should take anything for granted as there are quite a few in the field that are waiting to pounce given half an opportunity.

There were many highlights during the day that included: Tyler Quaill recording his first ever sub-par 9 holes (just brilliant) after recording birdies on 1,2,3,8 and 9, Taj Egea and Brendan O’Brien’s brilliant tee shots down 10.

Cooper Clarke’s brilliant Eagle after driving the green on the par four 15th, Kyros Hayden & Ben Stieler both birdying the 15th after driving the green, Olly Merritt’s fantastic long putt on 14, Bailey Murchie’s pitch in from 120m out for birdie on 14, Taj’s Putt on 15, Will Rothwell’s clinical chip to within a metre on 17 and Dhiya Rampersad’s magical putt on 18 for birdie.

But the true highlight on the day was Kaylee Swann who gave an exhibition as she bounced her ball “4 times” across the waters from the tee box on 12 to the bank in front of the green, chipped up to within 5 meters and sank the putt for par, which was magical and just a few on the many highlights during round 3.

A great highlight was watching Ben Stieler, Justice Bosio, Isabelle Simpson and Kaylee Swann do interviews for Channel 7, as seen on 7's six o'clock news!
