“Well, we can pretty safely say that we dodged the “proverbial bullet” when it came to the running of our Noosa Springs Junior Classic on Sunday August 28”, particularly given the weather we’d experienced on the Sunny Coast during the week. It was quite remarkable that the day turned out the way it did, absolutely perfect for golf and I’m sure everyone took full advantage and made the most of their good fortune!!

Even though it was a little damp underfoot, the course was in excellent condition and the feedback I’ve received, is that most had a great day out and took full advantage of contesting a great event on one of Australia’s most immaculately prepared and challenging resort courses!

“The Invincibles Tour” would like to thank everyone at Noosa Springs, in particular Mark Brady (Golf Operations Manager). We would like to thank Warren Ellis and his team in the Pro Shop, their bar staff, caterers and ground staff for their unbelievably generous support of junior golf.

As always their course and facilities were in immaculate condition (despite the weather during the week) and an absolute thrill for everyone to test their game on!

The Tour would like to congratulate Shae Wools – Cobb (Horton Park) and Jennifer Ray (Headland) for winning the boys and girls divisions of the Noosa Springs Junior Classic Championship with rounds of 73 off the stick!

To me the day was an absolute pleasure and a great challenge to everyone’s game, particularly for those that have qualified for The Invincibles IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship with the third round being hosted by Noosa Springs Golf Club on Monday, September 19.
The Tour would like to congratulate Jake Crowther (Peregian Springs) and Jennifer Ray (Headland) pictured above for qualifying for the 2011 Invincibles IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship.

The renovations to the eighteenth tee box and surrounds (pictured above) have settled down well and given the new layout a fantastic look which just adds to what is already a remarkable golf course!

Congratulations to Jennifer Ray (Headland) for winning the Lend Lease Course Cup and qualifying for the Hyatt Regency Coolum Gold Cup of Cups Championship in November with a nett score of 68!

There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that men like Mark Brady and organizations like Noosa Springs appreciate our program because of our commitment, the standards we set and for what The Tour is trying to achieve within junior golf. Another major reason they are prepared to support The Tour is because they believe in you our juniors and just as importantly your Junior Development Program!
