Despite a few brief showers, I think most had a great time and it was fantastic to see so many of our younger members (9 holers) taking full advantage of playing on one of the coasts most unique and picturesque courses whilst our senior players were away representing their clubs at Pennants!!!
I must say, the Kabi course and clubhouse looked an absolute picture, with major renovations being carried out since our last visit to both their twenty seven hole layout and the club house itself, the transition is just incredible.
One of the great things about The Invincibles Tour is that you get to visit some of the nicest and most challenging courses that South East Queensland has to offer and for those of you that haven't visited Kabi Golf Course www.kabigolf.com.au I can thoroughly recommend their great course, restaurant and friendly hospitality. Why not pay them a visit?
Graeme Shorland and his team “Pictured above” in Sweeney, Graeme, Pete and Milton really do work hard to develop and promote junior golf and I find it enormously exciting working with organizations that have the best interest of our kids at heart!!!
The Tour and their members would like to congratulate Tanner Richards (Gympie) for winning the Kabi Junior Classic for 2011 with a hard fought and workman like 79 gross on the par 36 orchid course and the front nine holes of the par three course.
The Tour and their juniors really do appreciate the enormous amount of hard work and effort that goes into events like this and we would like to thank everyone involved for making sure the day was a great success.
I and The Tour would like to take the time to thank our sponsors for the day in SRIXON Australia, Queensland Sport & Rec and Drummond Golf for the enormous amount of support they give to junior golf, in particular The Invincibles Tour.
