Well, what a perfect day out! For those that couldn’t make it to Cooroy to take part in their Junior Classic “you missed out on a great day”, the weather was perfect and the course was in excellent condition thanks to Wayne Patston (Manager) and his great team who put on a fantastic day’s golf and I must say it was brilliant to see our nine hole players back out on the course competing on the same day as their more senior counter parts, and that’s just the way it should be!!! |

Before we do the News Letter, The Invincibles Tour would like to take some time to reflect on Cooroy’s “MARY WHITE MEMORIAL” Junior Classic. Mary was a long serving member at Cooroy Golf Club which was one of the main reasons why they chose to name their Junior Classic in her honour. Another reason was that Mary had a long history of looking after the juniors at their club by putting in a great deal of time and effort to help promote, develop and nurture junior golf in the region, particularly at her home club Cooroy and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we look forward to returning next year to enjoy Cooroy’s friendly hospitality and company whilst supporting a very important event in Mary’s memory. |

The Tour would like to thank and congratulate Cooroy Golf Club; in particular their manager Wayne Patston for all the effort and hard work he and his team put into making sure their guests have a good time! The Tour would like to thanks Leonie Mason for doing a great job at the bar, Assunta Easton for organising the score cards and Kirsty Herring (Course Superintendant) and her team for presenting the course in magnificent condition. |

It really does make me feel good when I see our senior members taking the time to encourage and support our youngest members (Pee Wees) and that was no more evident than when Shae Wools – Cobb took the time to donate some new golf balls as an Encouragement Award for our nine hole competitors. Well done Shae, you leave a fantastic legacy and in the process you’ve made a little boys day! Well done!!! I know that Cooroy was hit hard by the floods back in January / February and it’s an absolute credit to them to see the work they’ve done to bring their course back to the great condition that it’s in today. |

For those that haven’t visited or taken the opportunity to visit the newly constructed eighteen holes at Cooroy, then do yourself a favour and take the time to enjoy the experience for yourself, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed as Wayne and his team go to a lot of effort to ensure everyone feels welcome and enjoys the Cooroy Golf Club’s warm and friendly hospitality. |

We would like to make a special tribute to those unsung champions “The Parents” that are there at every event supporting their children through good days and bad days, good rounds and bad rounds and more often than not picking up the pieces when things don’t go quite right! It seems to me when I’m doing the photos for the Newsletters and Galleries that most are making the most of getting together as a family in the pristine conditions of well manicured golf courses and enjoying each other’s company and surely that can’t be a bad thing? |
