As most keen golfers on the Sunshine Coast would appreciate, it’s been a long held dream of The Invincibles Tour to have 100 plus competitors competing at Junior Classics or Opens hosted by our remarkable team of golf club across the Sunshine Coast.

Our aim is to have a well run and well organized Junior Golfing Tour that encourages our juniors, boys, girls and their families to get actively involved, to get together to enjoy their golf in a safe, friendly and fun environment whilst testing their game on some of the most prestigious and challenging golf courses the sunny coast has to offer..........

Thanks to Tim Gall (secretary manager Pelican Waters) and Rae Clarke (CEO GNJGF) “pictured below left and right” we have come one step closer to bringing that dream to fruition when Pelican Waters, hosted their second “Pelican Waters Two Day Junior Classic”, Monday and Tuesday, April 2 / 3 / 2012 and unlike last year the weather gods were well and truly on our side.

The weather couldn’t have been better, it was absolutely picture perfect and we are sure everyone took full advantage of the conditions to enjoy their golf.

The team at Pelican Waters, from their office staff to bar staff, their caterers and ground staff should be applauded for the magnificent job they did hosting their event and I’m sure Rae Clarke and her team at the Greg Norman Junior Foundation were thrilled to bits with the way their two day event unfolded, particularly after last year when severe storms shortened their Junior Classic to twenty – seven holes……………………….

The Tour would like to congratulate the major winners in Matthew Samen – Curtis (Headland – Pic 1) for winning div 1 boys with scores of 73 – 72 = 145. Kate Law (Maryborough – Pic 2) for winning the Girls Open div with scores of 80 – 74 = 154 and Trent Easton (Bribie Island – Pic 3) for winning the Coolum Golf and Spa Course Cup (ex Hyatt Coolum) and for winning div 2 boys with scores of 75 – 84 = 159. The Tour would like to congratulate Matt Sukmak – Lon for qualifying for the now “Coolum Golf and Spa Gold Cup of Cups Championship” which will be contested on Sunday December 2, the Sunday prior to the Australian PGA Championship!

The Tour would like to congratulate all contestants for working hard on the pace of play and for the way you’re presenting at events, you look an absolute million dollars, the color and flair is just fantastic, keep up the good work you’re making The Tour a pleasure to be associated with!!!!!!

For those that haven’t visited Pelican Waters Golf Club for a game of golf, a meal or a quiet refreshment whilst looking over the putting green, lake and driving range, then you’re missing out on something very special!!!

Their meticulously designed Greg Norman layout at Pelican Waters is an absolute jewel, a must for every golfer and more than a fair challenge to even the best of golfers. To find out more go to www.clubpelican.com.au
