Our PGA volunteers create history by making sure our 2011 PGA Championship was the best ever and TRP Sports, PGA of Australia, Hyatt Regency Coolum, Sunshine Coast Council, the Queensland Government and The Invincibles Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to everyone that so generously offered their services to make sure that our 2011 Australian PGA Championship was a huge success!

Your support was absolutely fantastic and vital to the running of this event, because without it, events like this wouldn’t function. The feedback that we’ve received from the organisers (TRP Sports) is that they couldn’t have asked for any more and your support made all the difference to the final outcome. This year’s event was the best ever and that was largely due to everyone (volunteers) pulling together as a team to make sure we ended up with a fantastic outcome!

What a contrast from last year’s Championship where we had torrential storms and flooding, to this year where everything was just picture perfect for the whole week of the Championship! There’s no doubting what a difference good weather, world class facilities, a meticulously prepared golf course and world class players bring to an event.

The Hyatt Regency Coolum looked an absolute picture and the large crowds that came through the gates made for a fantastic carnival atmosphere. The course was in magical condition and the play off just added to the excitement.

All in all it was a brilliant Championship and we’re more than sure that everyone was thrilled with the outcome!!

It was brilliant to take part in the clinics which ran over the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the Championship and included players like Greg Norman, Bubba Watson, Adam Scott, Aaron Baddeley, Darren Clarke and our own Patron Robert Allenby which was absolutely fantastic and allowed everyone to get up close and interact with their favourite players, ask questions, watch them play shots and have their shirts and caps autographed by their favourite players!
