The Invincibles 2011 Hyatt Regency Coolum Gold Cup of Cups Championship!

Well what a difference a year makes? From the floods in 2010!

To paradise in 2011!

Thanks to some perfect weather and the very generous support from Maurice Holland (General Manager) and Hyatt Regency Coolum, The Invincibles Tour have once again successfully completed another Course Cup and Gold Cup of Cups Championship season!

The Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to both Maurice Holland and Hyatt Regency Coolum for their trust, support and encouragement; because without their support Championships like our Course Cup and Gold Cup of Cups wouldn’t exist and that’s something none of us should take for granted! It really is a privilege to savor!!!

With the Australian PGA Championship only some four days away the Hyatt Coolum and their course was set up in immaculate condition to host some of the world’s best golfers in Greg Norman, Bubba Watson, Robert Allenby, Adam Scott and the British Open Champion Darren Clarke and it was an absolute thrill for twenty four of our very talented and inspiring young golfers to be sharing the same stage as their idols.

Jared Barr (Mt Coolum) 68 Nett The Tour congratulates Jared Barr (Mt Coolum) on his magnificent performance in winning the 2011 Hyatt Regency Coolum Gold Cup of Cups Championship.

Jared played some remarkable golf in perfect conditions; he put his win down to the support of his caddie Roy McClean (Drummond Golf). Roy helped me so much; it was great of him to give up his own golf to help me. I really had a great day, a day I’ll remember forever. I would never have thought that I would be in this position “As the winner holding up the Hyatt Regency Coolum Gold Cup” Jared said. It’s unbelievable!!!



A field of twenty four of South East Queensland’s finest junior golfers took to the fairways at the Hyatt in perfect conditions to contest the 2011 Hyatt Regency Coolum Gold Cup of Cups which included (back row) Jennifer Ray – Mikaleigh Pickles – Tiana Beakey – Shania Herzog – Smith – Trent Easton – Tyler Bunder – Luke Parker – Jack Heiniger – Wade Stockill – Karl Preston – Luke Siddle – Jack Marriott and defending Champion, Tanner Richards (front row) James Cincotta – Matt Sukmak – Lon – Danika Coyne – Aneka Park – Harrison Price – Sean Daines – Lochlan Coleborn – Michael McMahon – Jared Barr – Joshua Horswill and Douglas Klein.

As is the tradition; come 11.45 Peter Heiniger “Head Golf Professional Hyatt Coolum” gave his traditional pre – match speech, accompanied by Paul Crangle “Golf Manager” and Brett Braithwaite “Director of Recreation” where he congratulated everyone for getting through to the finals of such a magnificent event and wished everyone the very best in their quest to become the Hyatt Regency Coolum Gold Cup of Cups Champion for 2011.

The 2011 Hyatt Regency Coolum Gold Cup of Cups Championship was played in fantastic spirit and the committee of The Tour would like to congratulate everyone involved for helping make the day a great success, including the players, caddies, the galleries and most importantly our mobile scorers!!!
