The Tour congratulates both Darcy Habgood (Middle Ridge - Toowoomba) and Zac Quirk (Mount Coolum - pictured) for putting in excellent performances to win the second tour event of the season “The Titleist 2 Day Summer Classic - hosted by Mt Coolum” with two day totals of 81 - 75 - 156 and 70 - 76 – 146 respectively. On what was a stinking hot day (37deg with 80% humidity) Jed Morgan (Hatton Vale) and Joy Mannix (Sanctuary Cove) put in brilliant performances to win our opening Tour Event for 2015 with rounds of 67 and 76 respectively, which was made just that much easier for everyone with eskies full of ice cold bottled water, banana’s and water melon which was organised by volunteers out on course to keep everyone hydrated and refreshed. Charles Pilon (Hills) put in a brilliant performance to win the Boys Open division of the Greg Norman Junior Masters Championship after winning “with a par in a three way playoff” from Cameron John (Waverley – Vic) and Corey Jones (Pimble – NSW) after all three boys finished normal time tied together on 287. Karis Davidson (Sanctuary Cove) followed up her fantastic performance after winning the Queensland Junior Champs with another inspiring performance to win the Greg Norman Junior Masters with an incredable final round of four under par 68. The very proud Mount Coolum Golf Club topped off a brilliant year at The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner when Ryan Stephenson (pictured with his very proud father Andrew) took out The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Gold Cup of Cups Championship for the fourth consecutive year, Stephenson took out the championship by one shot from five other competitors in one of the tightest and hard fought finishes ever recorded when………..
On another absolutely perfect day for golf, The Invincibles Toured up the Bruce Highway to contest the Cooroy Junior Classic “the final Tour event for 2014” where Darren Haines, Graeme Finn (Mens Captain) and their great team at Cooroy took pleasure in hosting a day that saw Rebecca O’Neil (Gympie) claim the final spot in The Invincibles Gold Cup of Cups Championship (see below) and Aneka Park (Caloundra) and Lochlan Coleborn (Mount Coolum - pictured) put in excellent performances to win the boys and girls divisions of the Classic with scores of 80 and 65 respectively …………
