What a great result! On Sunday August 1, some 135 of our finest junior golfers will take to the fairways at Horton Park to contest the 2010 Rod Pampling Junior Classic. This is an excellent result and I think our juniors are in for some fantastic competition and a great day out. I know the Zone and District are thrilled to bits with the turnout (Record) and just reinforces the fact, that if we all work together, junior golf is in for one heck of a future.

Congratulations to Jaimee Dougan (Beaudesert) and Wade Stockill (Horton Park) for winning the 2010 Mount Coolum Junior Open with scores of 74 – 75 respectively. After very heavy overnight rain which left the course a little heavy underfoot. Both Jaimee and Wade worked hard and deserved their wins after putting in fantastic performances against a record field, the biggest ever assembled at a Mt Coolum Junior Open!!!

Congratulations to Jennifer Ray and Wayne West (Headland) for winning the 2010 Mixed Foursomes Championship at Headland on Sunday July 18 by a massive thirteen shots (13), their scores were 75 – 77 = 152 over Justin Nicholson and Karen Wilson to win their second Headland Foursomes Championship in three years!!!!
